Reconstitution Guidelines

Before Reconstitution

All peptides are shipped as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. The powder should appear as a white or off-white solid in the vial. Do not use if the powder appears discolored, wet, or if the vial seal is compromised.

  • 1.Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening.
  • 2.Use only bacteriostatic water for reconstitution.
  • 3.Use a sterile technique when handling the vial and syringe.
  • 4.Inject the bacteriostatic water slowly along the side of the vial. Do not shake the vial.
  • 5.Gently swirl the vial if needed. Allow the peptide to dissolve completely (may take several minutes).

After Reconstitution

Once reconstituted, the solution should appear clear and colorless. A slight cloudiness may be normal for certain peptides. Do not use if the solution appears discolored, contains particulate matter, or has an unusual odor.

  • 1.Reconstituted peptides must be stored in a refrigerator at 2-8 C (36-46 F).
  • 2.Reconstituted peptides should be used within 28-30 days.
  • 3.Use a new needle each time you access the vial.
  • 4.Discard any remaining solution after the recommended storage period.

Storage Guidelines

Unreconstituted (Powder)

  • Store in a freezer at -20 C (-4 F) for long-term storage
  • May be stored in a refrigerator at 2-8 C for up to 1 year
  • Keep in original packaging to protect from light
  • Ensure vial seal remains intact at all times
  • Shelf life: 2-3 years when properly stored frozen

Reconstituted (Liquid)

  • Store in a refrigerator at 2-8 C (36-46 F)
  • Do not freeze reconstituted peptide
  • Use within 28-30 days of reconstitution
  • Protect from direct light
  • Discard if solution becomes cloudy or discolored
